Identification Tests

Identification Tests
Identification tests are carried out to ensure the identity of an analyte in a sample. This is usually achieved by comparing the properties like chromatographic behaviour, chemical reactivity etc. of the analyte with that of the reference standard.

Impurity Testing
Testing for impurities can be either a quantitative test or a limit test for the impurity in a sample.

Quantitative Tests for the Active Ingredient
Assay procedures are used to determine the amount of analyte present in a given sample. Dissolution is also an assay determining process.
